A previous suggestion about using an alias got me interested, but I wasn't able to get help with it either from the Oualline book or vim help.

I take it cloning the icon and changing the command line assumes that vim [MacVim] is being started from terminal? And the session still has to be saved. I think what I want to do is restrict what gets saved with 'mkesession'. You're earlier suggestion regarding that was helpful, and I'll be exploring it.
