i prefer to save changes - for all windows:
:wa!|q
but one keystroke is better than two, - so:
:map <f12> :wa!|q<cr>
but why end vim? it runs just fine within a
screen session as the first process on window #0.
if ever, then i prefer to simply end vim with "ZZ". :)
