How to remember window position for gvim on Windows XP

Hello,
Probably a classical question.

Typing
notepad file
from the Windows XP command prompt, moving the notepad window,
quitting and relaunching notepad with the same command results in
notepad being opened at the last window position (which is a natural
behaviour in my opinion)

Doing the same with gvim, the last window position is not remembered.
Instead gvim is opened at a random position.

Is there a way to rememmber the last window position when launching
gvim?

Best regards
Jean Johner
