Simple Html2Txt function , doesn't work for `&' symbol ?

Consider following function , i tried to do a simple html conversation,
not working for the third one ?

function HtmlToText()
exec "%s/&lt;/</g"
exec "%s/&gt;/>/g"
exec "%s/&amp;/\&/g"
endfunc
