I finaly wrote a guide:

It provides a reasonably simple method of using Mercurial to get
the latest source, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express
(free) to build. A batch file to copy the resulting files to the
wanted destination is provided.

Please report any problems here or in the Comments section at
the bottom of the tip.
