vim vs. ebooks

For HTML you can use elinks, links or such to convert HTML to Text.
Of course this will not work for all docs - and you will see images.
The last point should make you aware of Vim is probably no the tool
you're looking for.

Same applies when converting .rtf to .txt (eg using oowrite or word or
such: copy paste the text from those editors into a plain text editor
and save).

There is a pdf reader: apvlv which has key bindings and firefox plugins
adding vi like keybindings do exist. Whether they are really faster is
up to your liking ..

Think about the *why* you're asking for Vim - and then write again. We
may find other workarounds for you.
