For authoring php/html - in Windows I use Notepad++ and in Linux I use
gedit/bluefish
But my primary use of vim is when using a console or am connected via ssh
to a remote server. I do edit php/html in vim in those cases but for
authoring, I use something else.

For pretty formatting of html, actually I use php DOMDocument class and
have it dump the DOM with formatting.
