Writing Dict and Lists into .viminfo has been added somewhere in the
7.3 release cycle (I don't remember exactly which patch, I think
it was some early patch). There is still an issue in the todo list
about writing nested Dict and Lists giving some error, but I personally
haven't seen it.

So I think it can't be guaranteed, that it works reliably under all
circumstances.
