Need help in figuring out why characters are getting inserted when in Command-mode

As of a few weeks ago, when I cursor around using the h-j-k-l keys in Command-mode, I sometimes get "Hh", "Jj", "Kk", "Ll" inserted into my document. This can also happen when deleting with "x" or any other keys.

I've found one easy way to reproduce this issue:
1.) Type ":set" <ENTER>
2.) Hit <ENTER> again to get out of the set mode
3.) Press the 'l' key to cursor right
4.) Press the 'l' key again to cursor right
5.) I get "Ll" inserted in my document and I'm back into Command-mode so I can keep cursoring

It's very annoying as I get these characters inserted through out my document as I'm moving around.

I'm using MacVim on Mavericks 10.9.2 on a new 15" MacBook Pro Retina.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks
