I've decided to give NERDtree a try. I've been extremely pleased with the way vundle manages plugins, and so searched for NERDtree from within it. It found 'nerd tree-ack" but not 'nerdtree'. I had to put the url to the 'nerdtree' git repository in my vundle configuration.
Why did vundle find 'nerdtree-ack" and not 'nerdtree'?
