Confusing thing about this is getfontname() is not matching setguifont after loading color (or hightlight clear).
For example,
:set guifont=Consolas:h10:cDEFAULT
:echo getfontname()
" returns Consolas:h10:cDEFAULT
:set guifont
" returns Consolas:h10:cDEFAULT
:color morning
:echo getfontname()
" returns blank
:set guifont
" return Consolas:h10:cDEFAULT
