python_mode how to control command used for syntax checking

Hi

I have updated my vim environment to use the python_mode plugin which
includes support for syntax checking.

From what I have read this allows you to set the checking using the
something like the following command in .vimrc:
let g:pymode_lint_checker = "pyflakes,pep8"

However it seems whenever I do the syntax check it always uses pep8 to do
the check. I generally use pylint as a syntax checker and also like to use a
custom pylint command and specific .pylintrc. Does anyone know how I can
specify pylint as the tool to use for syntax checking (Setting
g:pymode_lint_checker = "pylint" does not seem to work) and how I can
specify the command I wish to use ?

Also, although if I set
g:pymode_lint_write = 1
the syntax happens whenever I save a changed python file, I do not know what
command I need to use to manually trigger a syntax check from vim.

Does anyone know what command should be used for this ?

Thanks
Larry Cotton
