Input history is limited by 'history' option by default. You may also
use 'viminfo' option, entries {histchar}{number} per each history type
(check :h :history, search history uses /): e.g.
set viminfo+=/100
in your vimrc will limit maximum number of search pattern items stored
in viminfo. All other histories will be limited by 'history' option up
until you override this in 'viminfo' option.
