For sure...I've got it as small as it can be while being discernible.

I've experimented with linespace before, and find that sometimes
things like underscores and lower tails of letters don't show.
I avoid it for the most part. I was just kidding about a practical
way for vim to compress info vertically, as I meant compression of
only lines without code (which is not possible with a simple text
editor).
