How to get filename() with extension?

Hi,
The last customization I would need to recover , in the new vm 15.10, is
the filename() expanding with extension to fullfil the head snippet.
This time I am making a full doc with all the steps, but last time years
ago I didn't make one.

I remember I did something like this, re seen searching, but I do not
remember where I did.

let file_name = expand('%:t:r')
To
let file_name = expand('%:e')

Could help?
Thanks in Advance
