snipmate and youcompleteme

Hi,

I started to use YouCompleteMe recently and I use SnipMate as well.
Since YouCompleteMe uses tab, I set in my vimrc for snipmate:

imap <C-J> <Plug>snipMateNextOrTrigger
smap <C-J> <Plug>snipMateNextOrTrigger

But it seems to work only after I re-source my vimrc. For example in
mutt, I write a new mail, vim opens and snipmate won't work. Then I
source my .vimrc and the snippets work with c-j as expected.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
