NUL byte in 'grepformat'

Is this currently possible? If the output of 'grepprg' used NUL bytes as
separators instead of the conventional colon), is there a way for me to read
the results into the quickfix list?

This could be convenient as it would allow file names that contain colon characters to be reliably processed.
