nvi? That looks hard-coded in the source

~/code/nvi % git grep --no-index 'search forward for cursor word'
Binary file build.unix/.libs/libvi.a matches
Binary file build.unix/.libs/libvi.so.0.0.0 matches
Binary file build.unix/.libs/v_cmd.o matches
Binary file build.unix/v_cmd.o matches

May be one can redirect the output. Not sure.
