Sure:

:let more = &more
:se nomore
:redir @a " redirect to the register a
:hi
:redir END
:syntax reset
:redir @b
:hi
:redir END
:new
:0put@a
:difft
:new
:0put@b
:difft
:let &more = more

If you do that often you can put the code in a function (just add
`:diffo!` at the beginning).
