Re: WinXP - E484 Can't open file

Hello, thanks for the replies. I had to wait until today when I'm back
in the office to try this.

The output of ":set shell"
shell=C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe

I tried both
:exec 'e '.tempname()
and
:execute "e ".fnameescape(tempname())

suggestions above, and both seemed to work. I was able to edit the
newly created temp files.

Thanks again for any help.
