I think you should report this as a bug to snipmate authors. glob() and globpath() all support an argument that disables these options for one function call and this is what all plugin developers must use except for certain rare cases when they do need these options. Though there *lots* of such best practices for writing option-agnostic code. This means I will be surprised to see the developer that is able to follow them all.
