Thanks for the feedback. Can you please test with the latest development
version from https://github.com/chrisbra/NrrwRgn

I think I have fixed some highlighting issues in the past and I
personally did not notice any highlighting that was left over, but then
I do not use the Narrowed Region feature as much as I used to.

Second, If you ever want to clear the highlighting, you can always use
:call clearmatches()
That fixes it and there is no need to close the window.
