How to import Python to run on Vim, to fix a plugin error?

Hello,
I have an error when trying to run vim Minimap. Apparently, I need to install Python as per https://github.com/severin-lemaignan/vim-minimap/issues/33

I'm looking at this to fix the error b installing Python, so I hope I'm on the right track? https://wiki.python.org/moin/Vim
