well, vi (and ergo vim) keystrokes are

result, finding the minimal user input that yields a buffer with the input
falls under https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_golf or perhaps
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolmogorov_complexity . Also see
