Re: Difficulty using vim within xfce4-terminal

Thanks for the reply.  To answer your questions:

:echo has('clipboard') 

1

:set mouse? clipboard?

  mouse=a
  clipboard=autoselect

I've now discovered that the difference is some kind of difference in the way xterm and xfce4-terminal do the paste, not in the way vim is working.

• Open vim in xfce4-terminal
• Select some text
• Middle click paste into xterm works
• Middle click paste into a different xfce4-terminal works
• Deselect text and exit vim in the 
• Middle-click paste into xterm works
• Middle-click paste into xfce4-terminal does NOT work

This gives me some clues:
