Thanks, but that's a bit over my head. I installed vim-gtk just now but it doesn't change anything; I suppose I have to delete vim-gnome but don't want to risk having to set everything up from scratch again to get vim working.
It looks like the warnings don't harm anything, so I'll leave it as is.
