I've tried it, the following plugins I use aren't automatically loaded:
colorpicker
c-support
DrawIt
fugitive
manpageview
repeat
supertab
surround
Or perhaps I'm just doing it wrong. :P
It works rather well for the others though - I can feel the speedup in
starting up vim. Nice work!
