Looks like your diff is the wrong way around.
Instead of checking for "did_load_filetypes" a more direct condition
would be to use:
if exists('#filetypedetect') && exists('#BufReadPost')
set ft=
doautocmd filetypedetect BufReadPost
endif
Does that work for you?
