I take your point, but I will be argumentative and explain why I
think "cryptic" is accurate.

It is quite easy for people to subscribe to this list without
seeing vim@vim.org. This group is "vim_use" at Google Groups,
and I think it would be quite reasonable for someone visiting
http://www.vim.org/maillist.php
to be thoroughly confused with what they see, and it would take
a fair leap of faith to assume that vim_use@googlegroups.com is
related to vim@vim.org.
