Random j, k characters appearing on line ends

Hello,

I'm using vim 7.3 with patches 1-244, 246-584. When I quickly navigate around a file using j and k, vim will occasionally & randomly insert "phantom" j and k characters at the end of the line. These characters do not actually get written, and they vanish with a CTRL-L refresh.

I have personally only seen this while editing JavaScript files with the jslint.vim plugin active. However, others are reporting this behavior with no plugins -- so that's why I thought it made sense to ask about here. :) Has anyone else seen this (with or without jslint.vim)? Any thoughts about what the underlying cause might be?
