Installing Vim on Windows 7 64 bit

First time Vim user, need some help installing and running Vim.

I have downloaded the runtime files for Vim 7.2, and the Win32 console
executable (I'm not really sure which to download).

After unpacking the files into vim\vim72, I ran install.exe. Now what
should I do?

Should I "Install .bat files to use Vim at the command line:" which is
option 1, or what? And why are there individual lines "Create C:
\WINDOWS\***.bat" like this?

Please advise. Thanks!
