Can't paste from Windows 8 clipboard to Vim

Hi everyone, Merry Christmas!

I am running into this problem when I am using Vim on Windows 8. I have tried the latest windows installer without cream, with patches 1-744, from cream website and the Yongwei's build, with patches 1-754, versions. Both of them had the same problem that I could not paste from windows 8 clipboard to them. It gave me this error message: E353: Nothing in register +(or *). When I typed in :reg to check, * register was missing on the list. But I could copy from those two versions of vim to the system clipboard though. I have this "set clipboard=unnamed" on my vimrc file, yet it doesn't help. I have tested those two versions on Windows 7, both of them worked without any problems. Also as of note, the windows version, with patches 1-46, on Vim official website doesn't have this problem. I can freely copy and paste to or from the Windows 8 clipboard. I also build a version of vim, with patches 1-754, from the source on my CentOS 6.3. It works like a charm. Can somebody help to figure out the problem I have with the latest vim on Windows 8? Thanks!
