By the way, 'dV}' (and 'dV{') is the single case where the 'v/V/<c-v>' operator command happens to be used over here, especially when coding. I'm trying out
onoremap <expr> } &l:spell ? 'V}' : '}'
onoremap <expr> { &l:spell ? 'V{' : '{'
