Re: Regex "stealing" from another history

Your last search is stored in the "/" register. I use this same workflow. What I do is keep using "/" until my search works. Then I type:
:%s/<ctrl-r>//REPLACEMENT<enter>
The "<ctrl-r>/" is inserting the contents of the "/" register.
