There are many good examples in the help of course (although it's not
all that easy to follow in places) and there are a lot of good
examples in the scripts directory. Of course, you can also ask on
this list: we're always happy to help.

Just in case you're interested, I decided that I didn't like the way
that colour schemes are defined, so I made my own 'alternative' syntax
that I find much easier to maintain. This basically involves
populating a dictionary/hash with the colours that you want (it falls
back to sensible defaults if an entry isn't defined) and then there's
a little script at the end of the colour scheme that turns that
dictionary into the proper Vim commands. It is based around a dark
background with (over-rideable) automatic generation of the light
background variation, but if you want a light background only it may
be better to get rid of that. If it's of any interest to you, have a

Using the CSApprox plugin makes the console version look a lot better.
