Ahah! I knew I remembered something strange about this. So my
advice to use

:set isk-=@

was exactly backwards, I shifted A-Za-z to non-keywords so when
it worked because NONE of them were keywords. The proper
solution with far less breakage should have been

:set isk+=@-@

so that the "@" was added to 'isk'
