2. Yes, we understand that you probably know your seach won't do what
you originally asked. You may be frustrated that Tony responded as if
he assumed you didn't know this. WE however, are equally frustrated
with the lack of anything we can use to help you in your question.
Likely, you're using special characters wrong, or an incorrect range,
or you've fallen victim to the behavior described for \r and \n in
searches in :help sub-replace-special, or any number of other things.
If you want us to help with your specific problem, SHOW US YOUR
SPECIFIC PROBLEM.
