Very nice, thank you! Now, is it possible to make these functions
always write to $HOME/.vim/undodir/ instead of to a directory relative
to the file? I ask in part because the script seems to fail on Windows
with E828 when there's a space in the path. I'm not sufficiently
familiar with that %:h style notation -- where is that stuff
documented?
