vim announce violated Google's terms of service?

I get this message when I try to go to
https://groups.google.com/group/vim_announce/unlock?_done=/group/vim_announce/browse_thread/thread/66c02efd1523554b,
which is linked to from vim.org home page.

"Cannot find vim_announce

The group named vim_announce has been removed because it violated
Google's Terms Of Service."
