So presently the best I have is :

nnoremap <F6> :w! /tmp/tmp.py <bar> !python -i /tmp/tmp.py<CR>
vnoremap <F6> :w! /tmp/tmp.py <bar> !python -i /tmp/tmp.py<CR>

And another recommendation is https://github.com/zweifisch/pipe2eval which was recommended to me .
