Then write a mapping for it, as others suggest. Changing a key won't
just break scripts, it will annoy people who actually use that key.
I use the US Dvorak keyboard layout, where "_" is on the home row, and
is therefore MUCH nicer to use than "^". I use it all the time, as
well as its counterpart, "g_".
