I was on the verge of marking it as spam and ban the newcomer, too. I
just ignored the message because I thought it was an error.
On a busy day, I would have thought it was just spam, but the "can u
add me" sounded me more like a clueless user rather than spam. Still,
I considered it an error and not a serious attempt at subscribing, so
I ignored the message so the sender could still post, but his posts
would be moderated.
As you say, not the most intelligent post.
