search for output of shell command

Hi,

For example, search for line starting with current day (^17).
How can it be done?- The following doesn't work: /^r!date | awk
'{print $3}'
I tried a few permutations but didn't figure out how to make it one
liner (in two commands it's simple, read to register and use it's
content in search pattern).

TIA,
Yosi
