I've seen this kind of behaviour without the plugin/rules you have; but
always with syntax highlighting. Vim definitely from time to time gets
itself into some kind of slow state. For me it doesn't just affect
scrolling, but inserting text, too. I can see the characters appearing
many seconds after I type them. I often find doing something like :e ggG
fixes it, but even that is annoying. I'd love if if we could find the
real cause of it an eliminate it!
