Perhaps. But my reasons for 9999 weren't nearly so informed. I just
wanted an effectively infinite textwidth. So far, 9999 has worked for
me. I'm sure that if I wrote prose with paragraphs longer than 9999
characters, those prose would not be read by anyone. So an extra
linebreak would go unnoticed.
