gcc quickfix window junk chars

i am trying to compile a program from with in gcc,
i see that the errors displayed in the quickfix
window has some junk chars, what am i doing wrong ?

one.c|274| error: [32m~@~Xaone[32m~@~Y undeclared (first use in this function)
one.c|308| error: [32m~@~Xevent1[32m~@~Y undeclared (first use in this function)
one.c|311| error: [32m~@~Xs[32m~@~Y undeclared (first use in this function)
