Talk about your likings ..
I add such to my $HOME/_vimrc:
cnoremap >my some-path
Then I can type :w >my which will get replaced by some-path
and that _vimrc is the file to put commands to make them permanent.
There is 'autochdir' option which can help.
You can also create your own mapping such as
noremap <c-w> :w<space>some-path
to sart the :w command automatically type a path etc.
