Please try v146g -- I was able to duplicate what you saw under Linux.

* when you selected master1.bib, that was in fact the only file that was
selected. The others appeared selected via an incorrect highlighting.
* when you pressed D, even while atop a different file, the selected
file took precedence

v146g attempts to address the incorrect highlighting issue.
