Marked files are not visible in netrw

Hi,

I use vim 7.4 compiled with features huge in xterm.

I have set my configuration file like so:

syntax on
set nocompatible


When I open a directory, position my cursor on a file and type mf, I
don't get any visual feedback that the file is marked. Is that normal?
