hmm! .... trying to remember the steps that brought this about ...
1)I created a new python file without a function.
2)I closed the session that I was in and sourced another
session.
3)Then I loaded the new python file.

I am using version 4.5

I can not note any distinction in file names. The file that
was loaded which (seemed to) precipitate the problem was
camelCase, but then many files I edit are camelCase.
> Are you seeing this problem when editing any particular file types?
Not that I have noted. The new file was python, but I don't
recall that having any significance in the past.
taglist is a highly valuable plugin. I am grateful for it and
for your response. I can live with:
:let Tlist_Show_Menu=0
if that is what it takes. :) As long as I remember it since
this problem occurs so infrequently.
thanks
